It Came from Outer Space
1953

Plot Summary
One of the finest science fiction thrillers of the 1950's, inspired by a Ray Bradbury outline that was modified for Universal-Internation by Harry Essex, and originally released in 3-D. Bug-eyed aliens crash land near the home of astronomer Richard Carlson. The "Xenomorphs" merely wish to repair their spaceship, and need human beings as mechanics, so they replace them with doubles. The repair work is slow, so more doubles are needed. Eventually the local townsfolk catch wind of what's happening and decide to take action against the aliens. One of the first to portray benevolent aliens, it is also a pleas for better understanding between races.
