Plot
Based on the short story by Philip K. Dick, Minority Report is set in a 2054 Washington
D.C. judicial system in which killers are arrested
and convicted before they commit murder using a
psychic technology. Tom Cruise is the head of this
Precrime unit and is himself accused of the future
murder of a man he hasn't even met.

It's a sci-fi thriller that races like a Porsche, looks like a hundred million bucks and hums with menace -- with Cruise in the middle
as a wounded, alienated, super-buff hero in a classic film-noir pickle.

Minority Report is essentially a pulpy, 85-minute eXistenZ story stretched out to the 2 ˝-hour length of
Solaris, Tarkovsky’s philosophical-sci-fi classic which Spielberg cheekily quotes in his show-off final shot.
Though the story combines many elements from both the dire Vanilla Sky and the so-so AI, Report
thankfully is much looser, more energetic and coherent than both – not a difficult task, of course. (see site for more…)
